Justin Abernethy is an award-winning, Toronto-based director and photographer specializing in fashion, commercial, and music video. 

Growing up in the early 2000’s, Justin was—and continues to be—influenced by the rich nature of cartoons and animation, bold graphic design, and various digital mixed-media of the era. With this Y2K-inspired lens, his work utilizes texture, stark contrasting tones, and vibrant bursts of light and colour to create abstract depictions of his subject matter that transcend both moving and still images.
